Scotland / Stirling landscape reference / permanent woodland

Put nature capital where every decision can be seen.

The Oldwood is a land-first woodland restoration programme for financial institutions, investment firms, and corporates that need credible action, disciplined governance, and a record their stakeholders can inspect.

01 The case for a better standard

Nature action needs controls, not just a story.

For a sponsor, a tree-planting story is not enough. The programme must make capital allocation, place, evidence, risks, and long-term duty of care legible to the people who scrutinise it.

02

From place
to evidence

Terrain, surveys, field work, allocation records, and monitoring notes become one inspectable reporting layer.

03

From evidence
to confidence

Every claim is labelled by status and method, so confidence can be earned before outcomes are promised.

03 The evidence layer

A landscape you can interrogate.

This is the direction of travel for the sponsor evidence room: a living map where terrain, diligence, capital allocation, field work, and claim status meet. The topography below is public-domain elevation data around Stirling; the planning overlay is illustrative until land is secured and surveyed.

The woodland itself

A forest people can walk.

Restoration is not complete if nobody can enter it. Trails will be drawn with the planting plan—foot and bicycle only—so people can be in the woodland as it grows, and wildlife can return to a living place rather than a closed plot.

01 / With the planting

The path is in the plan.

Once land is secured, the trail line is marked as woodland is planted—part of the forest from the first season, not cut through later.

02 / On foot and bicycle

No engines in the trees.

People visit by walking or cycling. The woodland is for quiet passage, not a road, a car park, or a managed exhibit.

03 / Wildlife, not a zoo

Habitat comes back.

Cover and food bring life back. You might encounter it because you are in its place—not because it is displayed.

04 Built for the people who fund change

Whether you are stewarding an ESG target, balance-sheet commitment, investment thesis, or employee programme, The Oldwood can give your organisation a defined role, evidence plan, and reporting cadence.

06 Governance before growth

Trust is a system,
not a tone of voice.

The project is deliberately transparent about what exists today, what is being designed, and what will only be claimed after site evidence, methodology, and appropriate assurance are in place.

What we will publish

Confirmed land, ownership and partner roles, site baseline, allocation policy, restoration plan, and monitoring cadence.

Only when evidenced

What we will not guess

Carbon outcomes, survival rates, biodiversity uplift, or project-site performance before the evidence and method exist.
